Replacing Trident with a nuclear deterrent dropped from the air would be "utterly wrong" and the plan "misses the point entirely" the SNP has said today.
Think-tank CentreForum has put forward plans for a nuclear deterrent dropped from the air, claiming that this would save money. However, the plan would still involve wasting hundreds of billions of pounds on dangerous and immoral weapons of mass destruction at a time when Westminster cuts mean more and more people are relying on foodbanks to feed their families.
